For many years Goldfingers 2nd hand shop was based in the middle of Frederick Street South Shields but a few years ago John moved his business to Boldon Lane over the road from the church. The Inside of the shop is mostly furniture but now and again you get the odd type of Aladdin's cave item that you have to stop twice to have a look at (a few months back he had a very old and very big turtles shell in there). If your looking for discount furniture then its well worth a call as he gets new bits and bobs in all the time and if you see something you would like to buy then he can also drop it off for you for a small fee.
