Shields, Ronald Sales had an illustrious career
starting of by playing for his local school teams then
becoming part of the then famous South Shields Ex
School Boys Football Team playing alongside other
local players who went on to make their name like Ron
with major clubs of the time. Apart from playing with
the school teams Ron went on to play for South Shields
FC, Newcastle United FC, Hartlepool FC and also Leyton
