Marsden Rattler Train
Tickets
A pair of tickets from the old days of the
Marsden Rattler train that used to run along the sea front up to
the old Whitburn mine, the line was famous in its day for the
fact that it used to boast it had the worlds smallest railway
station which was about the size of one of todays bus stop
shelters, even though the line was built and used most of the
time by the miners members of the public could also use the
service, notice that the top ticket was issued by the Harton
Coal Company Ltd and the second ticket has been overprinted with
the NCB logo after the mines had been taken over by the
government
