| Craster Village is located
by the seaside in Northumberland and the very word
Craster is associated with only one thing in my mind and
that is Craster Kippers, there is still a working smoke
house in the village belonging to L. Robson & Sons
who still carry on the traditional business of curing in
kippers and selling them around the world, the village
also boasts a small picturesque harbour complete with
fishing boats and an old fashioned traditional pub the
Jolly Fisherman which overlooks the seafront. On a nice
day it is worth your while to take a stroll along the
coast line to Dunstanburgh Castle who's ruins can be
seen from only a short distance from the village. Places
close to Craster village include Dunstan Village, Howick,
Embleton & Stamford.
